Forensic Psychotherapy (Sexual Offending)

I work with sexual abuse-related offending (internet and contact offences) and have worked with offenders at Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service Wandsworth as well as in private practice. I have completed STOPSO’s therapist training and broadly follow its recommend treatment protocols, namely:

• Agree upon an initial evolving New Life Safety Plan

• Explore early life experiences

• Explore later experiences

• Foster understanding of sexual abuse, who commits it and where it often occurs

• Foster understand why and how people commit sexual abuse

• Foster understanding of the consequences and impact of sexual abuse

• Facilitate sexual fantasy management

• Facilitate victim empathy

• Agree on an end of therapy New Life Safety Plan

• Maintain a New Life Safety Plan
